 Yohannes Moore is an Associate Attorney at De Vries Law P.C. who has dedicated his legal career to protecting and advancing the rights of individuals and communities who were otherwise not able to advocate for themselves. 

Prior to joining the De Vries Law team, Yohannes gained extensive litigation experience in his role as a Deputy Public Defender in Contra Costa County, where he conducted multiple jury trials and argued countless pre-trial evidentiary motions and motions to dismiss charges. As an Assistant Professor and Supervising Staff Attorney with the University of San Francisco School of Law's Racial Justice Clinic, Yohannes helped implement the California Racial Justice Act, watershed legislation designed to combat racial bias in the criminal legal system. Yohannes also has civil litigation experience in representing General Motors LLC in warranty defect cases across California.

Yohannes' philosophy of legal practice is a client-centered, trauma-informed approach to advocating for justice, paired with fierce, zealous litigation to advance his client's rights. Key to Yohannes' successful practice of law is his ability to connect meaningfully with clients when sensitive and complicated matters arise in their lives.

Yohannes is a proud alumnus of University of San Francisco School of Law. While there he cultivated his oral advocacy through the Moot Court Program, where he was a member of the National Appellate Advocacy Competition Team and the National Criminal Trial Advocacy Competition Team.

In his free time Yohannes enjoys spending time with his family, friends, and pug Fiona. When he is not enjoying time outdoors, you can find him rooting for his San Francisco 49ers.
