Edward "Alex" Ellsworth, known to all as "Alex," worked as a legal assistant as one of his first jobs, helping at his aunt's Boston law firm throughout high school and college.

After graduating from Connecticut College with commencement honors for distinction in his major of Spanish, Alex went on to a career in communications that spanned six countries on four continents. He worked his way from English instructor to copy editor at a Seoul educational publisher, interspersed with stints writing visitor guides at a Cartagena hotel and grant proposals at an education-focused NYC nonprofit.

As 2023 dawned, Alex was thrilled to return to the legal world, finding in De Vries Law, P.C. a firm with "ATHENA" core values that mirror his own goal: To become an Accountable, Team-minded, Honest, Empathetic, and Nimble Advocate. Alex became a licensed paralegal in January 2024 and is an integral member of our team! 

In his free time, Alex loves visiting museums and art exhibits, sampling global foods, and exploring the scenic beauty of Northern California with his cherished partner.
